Ballingarry Under 16 Hurling 2006

Ballingarry first took to the field for a challenge match against a strong Boherlan side. Not long into the second half Boherlan were getting a fierce beating and could not take it, so they lunged out at a Ballingarry player. But Ballingarry were taking none of this and fought back with honour. The match was giving to Ballingarry. The stronger and better side. Ballingarrys first championship match was against a poor Killenaule side, Ballingarry won a massive 18 points. Their next match was against St. Pats and once again they were victorious with an outstanding team performance which made them win the match by a well earned 20 points. The next match was against Fethard and they were also beaten by one point but our next match was a different story. We were playing St. Marys, we happened to have an off day and were missing players so we lost by one point but it didn't matter as we were in the South semi final against St. Marys once again but this time we were victorious by 9 points. Our next one was a big one, it was the South final against Moyle Rovers who were gonig for their third in a row, but we stopped them winning by a point. It was a time of celebration in Ballingarry. It came to the county semi-final where we had to face a strong Kildangan side. We put up a good fight, trailing by one point at half time, but in the end Kildangan were victorious beating Ballingarry by one point, Ballingarry were unlucky but took it like men.
